Managing Your Bills with Manilla

No one likes to talk about money, much less deal with bills, unless you are me.  I have spent my adult life talking about and paying the bills!  I started using used Quicken for home and QuickBooks for business when we started our company, some 20 years ago!  I can honestly say they are great programs for keeping track of every detail, creating reports, printing checks and paying bills on-line.  Then a few years ago I moved to a MAC at home and the Quicken MAC version would not print checks or pay my bills directly from the program (I have not looked recently to see if these features have since been added.)  I started looking around for secure, web based programs that would allow us to go paperless and have all our bills in one place. I discovered Manilla, a FREE website that stores all your credit card, bank statements, loans, travel accounts (as in frequent flyer, rental car and hotel points,) and magazine subscriptions in one spot.

It is easy to set up, view your bills and pay them all from one place.  You can get reminders when new bills are available and/or when you need to pay them.  There is a calendar view, perfect for visual people like me,  that lets you see what payments are coming up so that you can plan paying them.  You can access your account from anywhere with internet access or from the smartphone app.

I still use Quicken to reconcile my home accounts and look up reports, but honestly it is so depressing to see where the money goes, I rarely use the feature, it is more for comparing bills from year to year, to see if rates have gone up and if I need to re-negotiate contracts.  I have been using Manilla for about a year and I love it.  Check out this short video to see more:

Give it a try and stop by to let me know what you think.
